LIVING ON THE EDGE

The church needs to laugh and have fun more. We don’t do that enough in our fast paced, stressed out society.  We go to church, sing a few songs, listen to a guy talk for awhile then head out the door to the ranch or to eat so we can get out of there before someone talks to me. Church has become boring and predictable.  And I for one am not into boring.

Question is, does church have to be boring or can we have fun and enjoy going to church? Answer is: YES!!!! We should and Jesus even tells us that He came to give us life and life to the fullest.

We had a Luau the other night and I had a great time laughing and being laughed at as I tried my best to play water volleyball. (Needed to be there to understand that one). There were several of us in the pool looking and acting athletic and several watching from the deck looking pretty. What I enjoyed about that time more than anything else was looking at the faces of our people enjoying the fellowship of the other church members or believers. We were having a blast and loving the church.

One of the five purposes of the church is fellowship-LOVING GOD’S PEOPLE.  The church today has developed what I call “koinonites”= the opposite of KOINONIA. We run from fellowship thinking we may catch some gosh awful illness instead of embracing it with all of it’s zits and imperfections.

Come on church. Lighten up. LAUGH A LITTLE. We take ourselves way to serious at times. Start laughing again. Learn to laugh at yourself first then start hanging out with the other crazy church people and you will see they are funnier than you.  PASTORS INCLUDED.

I just have to get this off my chest. I promise this will be the last on this subject.

Well the coronation is about to begin. You can feel the excitement growing in the Mile High city and loyal democrats are preparing themselves for the big event.

Thursday night the DNC will crown their King and Queen then demand that the rest of the American subjects kneel and submit to this royal sham.

When I saw the setup for Barack Hussein Obama’s coronation in Invesco Field, the stadium where the Denver Broncos play, it blew my mind. This guy is so full of himself this stadium is the only place that would hold THE B-TEAMS egos.

Hussein Obama has absolutely no substance, no credentials, no experience, no character, no imagination, no patriotism and no business leading our country.

My son’s notes gives some real insight to the lack of experience this man has when it comes to leadership. Read it and then do whatever you can to keep Hussein as far away from the White House as possible.

I think you know now how I feel about this year’s election. There. I said it and already feel better.

Some things just tick me off and right now I am getting fed up with all the Hollywood attempts to emasculate (render powerless) the American male.

In my opinion every guy on TV or the movies are a dork, a womanizer, stupid, a bumbling idiot or just not around?  Every man is a wimp and women are better off without him.  I actually saw a woman wearing a T-shirt that read, “Tell me again why I need a man?”

Some of the shows that come to mind that depict this attitude are: “Desperate House Wives” (title says it all there people) “Two and a Half Men” (even the kid is sex crazy), “Swing Town” (The women are telling the men who to have sex with), “Lipstick Jungle” (three bimbos with no men around except for a sex toy) and on and on and on it goes. Men are portrayed as sexist, women haters, sex crazed or absent.

Now before you freak out and start responding, I am not some whacked out male chauvinist. I understand men and council them on a regular basis as to their stupidity and insensitivity.  But men need help and not this kind of garbage.

This is nothing like where I live and the guys I hang around. They are all men and they love their wives, their kids and they love Jesus more than anything.  And in my opinion it takes a real man to love Jesus and take a stand for Him especially in these times.

I’m just sick and tired of a bunch of Hollywood elitists telling us how we should feel and think about manhood. Face it, they’re CLUELESS IN HOLLYWOOD?

So, I’m turning that crap off and I’m going to watch some real men who act, talk and look like real men-THE DALLAS COWBOYS.
